About the Author Gerhard Richter, born 1932, is named as one of the most influential living artist of our time. He exhibited amongst others 2018 at Museum Barberine Potsdam, 2017 Museum Folkwang Essen, 2014 Tate Britain London, 2013 Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus Munich, 2012 Centre Georges Pompidou Paris, 2009 Haus der Kunst Munich, MoMA New York 2002.Hubertus Butin, born 1964, is a German art historian and curator, he lives in Berlin. Since the 1990s his relationship is fruitful for his curatorial and scientific work, he curated the esxhibitions Gerhard Richter and the Romantianticism in 1994, in 2004 Gerhard Richter.
